This article is called deliver us from evil, the evil one. If you are a Christian you should already know who the evil one is. I have a lot to say about him. Too many people and Christians are not aware that Jesus Himself commanded us to pray this every day. Why would Jesus tell us to do this every day? Because Jesus knows how evil and powerful the evil one is. Jesus knows how “DANGEROUS” the evil one is. And Jesus knew here on earth and in heaven how “DESTRUCTIVE” the evil one is. 

Go online and look up “PICTURES OF EVIL” You will find pictures of zombies, color-painted clowns, half animals-half humans. Mad-looking people or scared people. Witches or Jason from the Halloween movies. There are pictures of ghosts, and others with deformed faces. I can go on and on. But here is my point. That is only Hollywood’s and mankind’s version of what evil is and what evil looks like. This is what the world wants you to think and believe, evil is. ONLY GOD DEFINES AND SHOWS US WHAT TRUE EVIL IS.

Definition of Evil: Profound immorality and wickedness, especially when regarded as a supernatural force. I think we can add “ACTIONS” to this. Those who are very wicked by nature, and take pleasure in doing things that harm other people. Matthew 15:19 “For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:” I think we can safely say, evil comes from within ourselves out of a wicked evil heart. LET’S TALK ABOUT THE MOST WICKED AND VILE OF ALL TIME. THE EVIL ONE.

I just finished another article about prayer yesterday, here on my website. This article goes along with it. I think you might be surprised to find out, what Jesus is doing in heaven, and why He tells us to do the same thing he is doing. “THAT WOULD BE INTERCEDING FOR OTHERS.” Let’s look at what some call the Lord’s prayer. Actually, this is the model prayer. The true Lord’s prayer is found in John chapter 17. That was Jesus’ personal prayer to the Father right before his temptation, trial, and Crucifixion. 

The model prayer is found in Matthew chapter 6 and Luke chapter 11. Matthew 6:9-13 “ After this manner, therefore, pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.¹⁰ Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.¹¹ Give us this day our daily bread.¹² And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.¹³ And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: (THE EVIL ONE) For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

Notice that Jesus says “DELIVER US” not just deliver me. We should be praying to deliver not just me, but all of US every day. Your family (all of them) and friends (NAME THEM EACH). WE ALL NEED THIS PROTECTION FROM THE FATHER. I am so thankful that the HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD LIVES IN ME AND PROVIDES PROTECTION ALSO.

WHO IS THE EVIL ONE

Many people truly do not understand about the creation of Lucifer in heaven and his fall. They do not realize that Lucifer was the most powerful being God ever created, and the most beautiful. I also want to say that no human in a flesh body, is a match for the evil one.  Satan is the epitome of “ABSOLUTE EVIL” and there is no good whatsoever in him. Even the powerful arch-angels will not rebuke Satan, but only say, “The Lord rebuke you.”

The evil one has different names but is the same fallen angel called Lucifer. He is now called Satan (adversary) and the devil. Satan has had many primary names and many titles in the Bible. Each name has a different meaning. Satan is a primary figure throughout the Bible and is mentioned more than anyone throughout scripture, except Jesus. 

Always remember that God has a plan for us and our life but Satan will always stand in opposition to God’s plan, and you. SATAN’S goal is to hinder and extinguish God’s plan in your life. John 10:10 “The thief (the devil) cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly. 

THE FIGHT AND THE BATTLE WITH SATAN

Years ago my pastor made a statement that stuck with me. He was preaching about the battle that Christians have with Satan. He said, “I do not think I could whip a baby demon if there was such a thing.” II Peter 2:4 Tells us that there are fallen angels who are chained in darkness in hell. If they were let loose, they could destroy every human on the planet. Yet Satan is their commander and more powerful. Are you getting the full picture of who we Christians are dealing with? We do not fight in our flesh, it is a “SPIRITUAL BATTLE.” Yet Revelation Chapter 9 when the 5th seal is opened, (during the tribulation), the bottomless pit will be opened, and these demons will crawl out of the pit, and set out to torture and kill millions.

Ephesians 6:10-18  “ Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. ¹¹ Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.¹² For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.¹³ Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day and having done all, to stand.¹⁴ Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;¹⁵ And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;¹⁶ Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.¹⁷ And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:¹⁸ Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.” These are our weapons in the battle, they are not of the flesh.

I Peter 5:8 tells us, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour. Those who have not been saved and had a spiritual birth by God can be easily devoured. 

SATAN’S PLAN AND PURPOSE

First and most important is this. SATAN’S desire and goal have always been to be “WORSHIPPED AS GOD.” This is what got him and one-third of the angles that followed him kicked out of heaven. Satan is more intelligent than any man that ever lived or is on earth. Satan knows every language on earth. Satan knows every false religion because he started them. He will get his wish and be the false messiah. He will control the entire earth through deception (he is the father of all lies), then set up his throne in God’s Temple.

Satan will rule the world from there. He will abolish all governments except his. Satan will abolish every religion on earth, and replace it with the worship of himself. Those who refuse to take his mark of ownership will be put to death. Right now, the Global Elites are setting up SATAN’S 1 world government and demanding that the entire world system be “RESET.” These elites believe they will rule the world. They may assist, but they will be under the rule and authority of the evil one.

CONCLUSION

When it is warm, I sit outside a lot. I have told friends many times this. If you will be really still and quiet, you can feel the presence of “EVIL” in the air. Also, if you look at the workings of humanity in this world, you can see evil actions all over the world.  God is Absolutely Moral and Satan is Absolutely Immoral and Absolutely Evil. Evil immorality is the new norm and standard all over the world.

I John 2:16-17 “ For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth forever.” Every born-again Christian should recognize this. 

We live in a dangerous and destructive world. We as Christians, are under constant attack from the world, the flesh, and the Devil. If the evil one had the power, he would kill every Christian on earth right now. Unfortunately, during the soon coming tribulation period, he will kill all of those who will not accept him as “god” and worship him. 

I have written this article because all Christians and the lost unsaved people of the world, need to know and understand the evil satanic power that is at work in everyone’s life, and in the world. We should be praying daily, not just for us, but for all those we know and care about.  We pray they will be delivered from evil and the evil one. God’s power and protection are enough to break the power and plan of the evil and evil one. THANK GOD WE HAVE THE HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD LIVING IN US AND PROTECTING US. BUT WE NEED TO RELY ON GOD EVERY DAY. 

Please listen and accept this. We are ALL subject to the power of evil and the evil one. The saved Christian has a new Spiritual birth and we are protected by God, That means we do overcome and WIN. The unsaved person is NOT saved and protected by God, and you CAN NOT WIN. Paul said in Romans chapter 7 “For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing, and when I would do good, evil is present with me.” THIS IS THE REALITY OF LIFE. In this life sin, evil and the evil one will always exist. Just look around and you will see it. THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY TO DEFEAT IT, BE PROTECTED FROM IT, AND ITS ETERNAL CONSEQUENCES.

To any unsaved lost person, I have to tell you this. God’s Salvation is being delivered from evil and the evil one. Only God can do this and it is offered to you as a free gift. Jesus came to earth and paid the penalty for our sin and evil by His death on the cross. He took the consequences of our sinfulness and evil upon himself. Jesus broke the power of sin and the evil one, over our lives. It is yours for the asking. You need God’s forgiveness, power, and protection in your life. You need God’s salvation. Some will ask what am I being saved from? You are being saved from sin, self, and Satan. 

You are 1 prayer away from salvation and protection. Listen, please. You, I, and everyone have done wrong thing, and we know it. God says that is sin. In reality, we are all sinners. Romans 3:23 and Romans 6:23. Sin is why we all die. We are the sinner, but Jesus is the Savior, Jesus came to save sinners and break the power of the evil one in our lives. Only Jesus can make us a new person. Romans 13″ For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Do you realize the word REPENT means to change your mind? It is time for you to change your mind and call on God for salvation, forgiveness, and deliverance. Do not put this off, Call on God today.
