This article is called “Nearer my God too thee.” Think about this for a moment and what this actually means. Many will really not care at all, or understand, but to many others and Christians, it is the desire of their very being and heart. If you are truly a Christian, if you have truly been saved and born again by the precious blood of Jesus, then this song will draw you, move you closer to God, and be the desire of you heart for this day. But it should be for every day a Christian lives. PLEASE CLICK ON THE SONG AND PLAY IT NOW.
I also want to also start by posting the words to this beautiful hymn and talk about the great meaning of this song for Christians and so many other people world wide. This hymn has been known in many countries around the world and memoralized, by many dying Christians and people.
Nearer, my God, to Thee, Nearer to Thee; E’en though it be a cross That raiseth me, Still all my song shall be Nearer, my God, to Thee, Nearer, my God, to Thee, Nearer to Thee.
Though, like a wanderer, The sun gone down, Darkness comes over me, My rest a stone; Yet in my dreams I’d be Nearer, my God, to Thee, Nearer, my God, to Thee, Nearer to Thee.
There let me see the sight, An open heaven; All that Thou sendest me, In mercy given; Angels to beckon me Nearer, my God, to Thee, Nearer, my God, to Thee, Nearer to Thee.
Then, with my waking thoughts Bright with Thy praise, Out of my stony griefs Bethel I’ll raise, So by my woes to be Nearer, my God, to Thee, Nearer, my God, to Thee, Nearer to Thee.
WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO CHRISTIANS AND CHURCHES
I am older and I have seen so many changes in the church world over my entire life. In this ungodly world we live in it is very hard to tell the difference in the church and the world. They look identical and it is hard to see any difference. Churches across the world, have kicked Jesus out of their so called church and replaced Him with so called worldly standards which are sinful. Just about anything and everything has replaced God, His power and authority and His word. Satan loves it and is welcome in so many different denominations, and so called churches. Being close to God is now classified as being religious, and going over board. Other religious things are more important to them. I have to ask this question.”DOES GOD REALLY EXIST AND LIVE IN YOUR LIFE?” Or are you playing some religious church game?
JAMES 4:8 WHAT DOES IT MEAN? “DRAW NEAR TO GOD AND HE WILL DRAW NEARER TO YOU.” As got questions says, “f we are moving toward God, He moves closer to us. While His Spirit already lives within those who believe in Him, it is evident that we can walk according to the world, the devil, and the flesh. But if, on the other hand, we are being filled (or controlled) by His Spirit (as in Ephesians 5:17–19), then He bears fruit in us (Galatians 5:22–23). Paul puts it this way: “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly” (Colossians 3:16, ESV). As we focus less on ourselves and more on Him, we can be more submissive to Him. This seems to be the idea behind what it means to “draw near to God and He will draw near to you” (James 4:8). As we align our priorities, our desires, thoughts, and behaviors with what He prescribes, we find that we are walking with Him. Jesus talked about this in John 15, when He told His disciples they should “abide” in Him (John 15:4).”
Let me explain something to you. God made the first move in a relationship of love, with you long before you were ever born. The Spiritual life he gave to you is eternal and will never disappear or die. Again, as got questions tells us, “While God has provided us many details about how to walk with Him, James puts things succinctly when he encourages his readers to “draw near to God and He will draw near to you” (James 4:8). It is easy to get lost in the theological details sometimes, as there are many and they are all important and useful (as 2 Timothy 3:16–17 reminds us).
It is also good for us to see the simplicity of what God is asking us to do. He is asking for simple, quiet fellowship with Him. Recall that Jesus once reminded His hearers that His yoke was easy and His burden was light (Matthew 11:30). God isn’t trying to complicate things for us, and He hasn’t made walking with Him burdensome. He reminds us that we need to draw near to Him and He will draw near to us.
If we are moving toward God, He moves closer to us. Jesus talked about this in John 15, when He told His disciples they should “abide” in Him (John 15:4).” END QUOTE.
CONCLUSION
This is the true purpose of Revival all around the world. This is the real goal and purpose of a close relationship and fellowship with our heavenly father. This is the goal, purpose and reason for eternal salvation with our heavenly father, the Holy Spirit, and our personal Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The sacrifice of Jesus on the cross of Calvary paid the sin debt for all of our sins, past, present, and future. His sacrifice for our sins satisfied God once and for all and our new birth gave us a new eternal relationship and fellowship with our new heave, nly father. Romans 10:13 John 3:16.
We live in a world today where everyone has their own personal truth and states it is true for them. That is known as subjective truth not factual objective truth. So, you make your own truth and what you want it to say. Truth does not change because of your personal choice. Now add to that then new “WOKE GENERATION” Political Correctness, and the changing old words and replacing them with new words and new meanings. And all of this is totally acceptable in the new progressive world. Real truth is always Objective not Subjective.
There is only one way and one truth that will make you Gods child, save your soul forever, cleans you forgive you sins and make you God’s child forever. That is through the Lord Jesus Christ and his payment and forgiveness of sin. THIS SALVATION IS TRULY THE MEANING OF NEARER MY GOD TO THEE AND IT IS AN EVERLASTING PERSONAL ETERNAL RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD IN HEAVEN-AMEN. It is free for the asking, and this is totally your personal choice.
I have to ask this question. Who do you want to be your master? What will master you? Sin, or Salvation? You will have one and it is all your choice. God gave you the greatest gift in existence, it is called “FREE WILL-THAT IS YOUR ABILITY TO CHOOSE.” But with your choice also comes the consequences of that choice, and those consequences will be good or bad. Understand, you were created as an eternal soul and it will live forever, so will your choices and its consequences.
Salvation is free to us, but it cost Jesus His very life to pay for our sins. Will you bow your heart and turn from yourself and turn to God? Will you ask for forgiveness and receive Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior? Will you put your faith and trust in Jesus for forgiveness and salvation? I assure you on the word of God that He will save you and give you a new life in Christ. II Corinthians 5:21 “For He (GOD) hath made Him (JESUS) to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that WE might be made the righteousness of God in him.” Romans 10:13 says, “For who so ever shall call (ASK) on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Bow your heart and ask:OH GOD SAVE ME AND DRAW ME NEARER TO YOU AS YOUR CHILD This is one prayer God will ALWAYS answer.
If you have just prayed, and accepted the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, for your sins and salvation, please me know in the comment section below so that I can rejoiced with you. AMEN RAY
