WOW. That is quite a statement, “The Most Important Thing You May Ever Read In Your Life.” If you

are reading this I want to say thank you because I believe this statement is true. The subject matter of this article is so important and needs to be made simple for you and me. I find very few writers who take the time to go into depth and detail in a simple manner.  

Psychologist tells us every person truly wonders about 3 things. 1. “WHO AM I?” 2. “WHY AM I HERE?” 3.” WHERE AM I GOING?” Please understand this is NOT a Psychological article with a ton of medical or psychological jargon. But those 3 questions are relevant because we are all physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual creatures, that is how we are, and this is how we were created. If I asked you to describe yourself (WHAT YOU ARE LIKE) or your mom or dad, brothers and sisters or friends, could you do it, using the terms above: Physical, Mental, Emotional, Social and Spiritual? 

WHO IS GOD AND WHAT IS HE LIKE

Using these same terms what if I asked you to use them and Describe “GOD,” could you do that? Or would you have to say, “I cannot describe God because I do not know Him and have never met Him?” Since I do know God personally I want to help you out and tell you who He is and what He is like. I said I want to make everything simple so here is God. See, the more you understand God, the more you will understand yourself. 

1. God is Perfect. God is perfectly PERFECT. There are no flaws with God. Because God is perfect, He DEMANDS perfection. God cannot ACCEPT anything less than perfection. Are you perfect?

2. God is Holy. God is perfectly Holy all the time. Because God is Holy, He CANNOT ACCEPT or look upon sin. (Habakkuk 1:13).

3. God is Just, God is Righteous. God does what is just and right all the time, we do not. God does not sin, we do. God’s Perfection and Holiness demands Justice and Punishment for anything that is not just and right. Only God is totally Righteous. We are sinners because we do not do what is good or right all the time. God cannot ACCEPT anything less.

4. God is Immutable. This means that God is UNCHANGING. We may change in many ways but God does NOT change and never has. It means God’s mind and opinion have never changed. What God has said, He meant and still does, regardless of what Modern Society thinks or says.

5. God is Omniscient. This means God knows everything and His knowledge is complete. God knows everything, He knows the end from the beginning, and He alone knows the total future of mankind.

6. God is Omnipotent. This means God is ALL Powerful. There is no limit to His power. Only God can limit His own power if He chooses to. God has the power to create or destroy at any time. Only God is Self-Sufficient, we are not. We depend on God and all that He has created for us to survive.

7. God is Omnipresent. This means that God has the ability to be present in all places at all times. God can be in heaven, here on earth, or all through the universe at the same time.

8. God is Sovereign. This means God is in total CONTROL all the time. This is how God rules His creation. God has also given us free will with the ability to obey or reject His leading. This is God’s Authority and gives Him the right to do whatever He chooses.

9. God is Merciful. This means God has mercy on us and does not give us what we deserve. God offers Salvation and all that goes with it when we deserve Hell and punishment for sin.       

10. God is Love. God’s love takes in his mercy, grace, and loving kindness to us. It allows God to have a personal relationship with His mankind and creation.

Please understand one important fact. GOD HAS A STANDARD AND HIS STANDARD IS BASED ON WHO HE IS. MAN’S STANDARDS DO NOT COMPARE TO GOD’S STANDARDS. The real problem is when mankind wants to bring God “DOWN” to man’s standard. I said I wanted to make this simple and I hope that we can all see when we put ourselves up beside God, that we do not measure up to who He is, I think we also should understand that mankind’s standards are inferior to God’s Standards.

WHERE DID THIS ALL BEGIN?

Isaiah 14:12 King James Version 12 “How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! Sin started with Lucifer in heaven. Lucifer was the most powerful Angel created. but his power does not come close to God’s totally powerful. The “SIN OF PRIDE” entered his heart and he wanted to take over and set up his own throne above God’s throne. Lucifer was powerful enough to talk 1/3 of the angels of heaven to follow him. He failed in his rebellion and he and 1/3 of the angels were kicked out of heaven. YES, ANGELS HAVE “FREE WILL, AND SO DO YOU” MAYBE YOU HAVE NEVER REALIZED HAVING FREE WILL, ALSO CARRIES WITH IT MUCH SORROW AND MANY CONSEQUENCES.

GENESIS CHAPTERS 1, 2, AND 3. God created the heavens and the earth. Then God created the first humans Adam and Eve. Genesis 2:7“And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul.” Dear Reader, are you NOT aware that everything about GODE IS ETERNAL? Are you NOT aware the very breath of God that he breathed into Adam and all humans is “ETERNAL AND EVERLASTING?” Do you NOT realize that you are going to live forever, your soul and spirit, in one place or another? Do you NOT realize that Eternity NEVER ENDS? I said I would make this article SIMPLE but also Truthful. You need to understand what you are facing in Eternity. 

God gave Adam dominion over all of his creation. Adam and Eve were not created perfect but were created innocent. God gave Adam and Eve “FREE WILL.” That is the ability to CHOOSE AND MAKE CHOICES. If they had never been given free will, they would have never been anything more than programmed ROBOTS.AGAIN, DO YOU UNDERSTAND THAT YOU HAVE FREE WILL AND THE ABILITY TO MAKE YOUR OWN CHOICES? Again do not forget that Angels were created with free will. 

Lucifer who is now Satan enters The garden of Eden and tempts Eve to SIN and disobey God. Eve was deceived but Adam followed Eve and SINNED WILLFULLY, He was not deceived. Adam and Eve made their choice and suffered the consequences of SIN. They were our first parents and all humans have been born from them as sinners. Psalm 51:5, KJV: Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me. Now in Romans 5:1 “Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man [Adam], and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned” Maybe you can understand now why ALL of mankind HUMAN NATURE IS CORRUPTED-WE ARE DAMAGED GOODS, DAMAGED BY SIN.

Mankind’s RELATIONSHIP AND FELLOWSHIP were BROKEN WITH GOD DUE TO SIN. God gave up on our sinful flesh, there in the Garden of Eden but loved His creation enough to promise a Savior and Messiah to bring us back to God. SIN WILL HAVE TO BE PAID FOR. You should be able to understand that.

WHAT IS SIN AND ITS CONSEQUENCES?

Definition of SIN. “An immoral act considered to be a transgression against divine law: sin, moral evil as considered the deliberate and purposeful violation of the will of God. Sinful acts are viewed as a defiance of God’s commandments, and sin itself is regarded as an attitude of defiance or hatred of God.  Sin is humanity’s state of collective and individual sinfulness as a condition that Jesus came into the world to heal. SIMPLY PUT, BECAUSE WE SIN THAT MAKES US SINNERS. All of us, and I do mean every human has messed up, made big mistakes, and blown it. And yes we use other words and terms for our wrongdoings but in reality, it is still SIN. We all have done things that we knew we should not have done and regretted it. That should be simple to admit and understand. NO HUMAN IS PERFECT.

Romans 3:23 “^{23 “}For ALL have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” We have failed to measure up to God’s Standard. Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Sin is why we DIE. Sin has consequences with it. All of our actions in life are either right or wrong, good or bad, and have consequences for those actions. This one is easy to understand and we live by this every day. The sad part is that too many on earth do not care about their actions or the consequences, BUT THEY WILL WHEN THEY STAND BEFORE THE LORD.

WHAT IS THE REMEDY FOR SIN?

There is only one remedy for any and all SIN. That is through the finished work and payment of Jesus Christ. ONLY JESUS PAYMENT FOR YOUR SINS IS ACCEPTABLE. But you do have free will and have the right to choose to pay for your own sins in hell for all ETERNITY. There are no other options according to God. I realize that sounds harsh but it is the TRUTH. 

Do you realize that no Religion, Church, or Organization can save your soul or give you salvation and eternal life with God? Do you realize that you can not work your way to heaven with any good works or get GOOD ENOUGH to work your way to heaven? YOU CAN NOT EARN YOUR WAY TO GOD OR HEAVEN. If that were possible, then God would have never sent Jesus to die on the cross, to suffer and bleed and die for nothing.                                                                                                                   

CONCLUSION

I stated at the very title of this article and at the beginning “THIS MAY BE THE MOST IMPORTANT THING THAT YOU MAY EVER READ IN YOUR LIFE. I STILL BELIEVE THAT. I wanted to try and give SIMPLE DETAILS that are not often included in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In other words, I try to answer some of the “WHYS” I truly believe that many churches have failed somewhat in not presenting a full picture of God and all of His attributes. Mankind needs to see and understand who God really is and what makes Him God. All of mankind needs to understand that God’s morality and standards are totally different than ours. And all of mankind needs to understand that God’s very Nature cannot and will not ever accept SIN. 

The best news of all is how God Himself provided the Payment for everyone’s SIN. WHAT GOD DEMANDED AS A PAYMENT FOR SIN, ONLY HE COULD SUPPLY–AMEN. It took His only begotten Son Jesus to become the sacrifice and pay for “EVERYONE’s SIN, PAST, PRESENT, AND FUTURE.” Only Jesus could SATISFY ALL OF THE HOLY STANDARDS OF GOD. As Hebrews 7:26 tells us about Jesus the sacrifice “For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;” This you need to understand.

The only hope for any man or woman is “IN THE PAYMENT FOR SIN AND SACRIFICE OF JESUS CHRIST. GOD ONLY ACCEPTS ANY OF US BECAUSE OF WHAT JESUS CHRIST DID FOR US ON AN OLD RUGGED CROSS. This is what “SATISFIED GOD. NOTHING WE CAN EVER SAY OR DO IN OUR FLESH WILL EVER PLEASE OR SATISFY GOD. DO YOU REALIZE HOW GOD SEE’S YOU OR ME, OUTSIDE OF JESUS CHRIST? DO YOU KNOW  WHY YOU MUST  BE BORN AGAIN, AND HAVE A NEW  SPIRITUAL THROUGH JESUS CHRIST? DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND THIS? JOHN 3:3,5,7 ALL 3 TIMES JESUS SAID, “YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN, OR YOU WILL NEVER SEE HEAVEN. 

If you have never accepted the sacrifice of Jesus Christ for your sins, do you realize that right now, you are under the judgment and CONDEMNATION OF GOD? John 3:16-18 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.¹⁷ For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.¹⁸ He that believeth on him is NOT condemned: but he that believeth not IS condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

SIMPLY PUT. 1. WE HAVE SINNED, WE ARE THE SINNERS. 2. JESUS DIED AND PAID FOR OUR SINS ON THE CROSS SO WE CAN BE FORGIVEN. 3. HE IS THE SAVIOR AND SAVES SINNERS. ACTS 2:38 “And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” This means realizing that we have no hope of Salvation outside of Jesus Christ and His work, YOU CAN BE SAVED RIGHT NOW IF YOU ASK GOD TO PLEASE FORGIVE YOU AND SAVE YOU. This is your decision, it is so eternally serious because the consequences will also be eternal. If you have never been saved by the grace of God, I ask that you would pray right now and ask God to save you and come live in your life. AMEN.
